For all registered participants:  Packet pick-up is this Thursday, October 10th 10am-7pm
or Friday, October 11th 10am-3pm

at the CBCC Foundation office 6401 Truxtun Ave. Suite 280  Bakersfield, Ca 93309. 
You can also pickup your packets at the run/walk on Saturday starting at 7am.

You are invited to be a part of Kern County's 4th Annual Cancer Run/Walk taking place Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Yokuts Park.  It will be a 5k Run/Walk for adults and a jog-a-thon fundraiser for children 3 to 11.  You may enter as an individual or as a team.

This event's purpose is to bring funding and awareness to the various cancer diagnosis and to encourage the entire community to support local patients.

Last year over 800 community members and survivors participated in our inaugural event which raised close to $50,000.  

Those registered before September 20th will receive an event shirt, race bib, cancer ribbon (of their color choice) and goodie bag.

Registration Fees are as follows:

  • Early Registration (before September 20, 2019):  $35 for Individuals or Small Teams (less than 10 members)
  • Early Registration (before September 20, 2019): $30 per person for Large Teams (10 or more members)
  • *Early Registration (before September 20, 2019): $20 per person for Middle School or High School Students (12-18 years) 
  • Child Jog-a-thon Registration: $25 per child (3-11 years) - This amount may be fundraised.  Deadline to turn in money is October 10th.  CLICK HERE for the children's jog-a-thon information sheet and pledge form.

After September 20th Registration Fees go up by $5 per person.
*Students will not receive an event shirt.

When registering you will have an opportunity to create your own page with your story and your pictures.  We encourage you to let your family and friends know about why you are participating in the Kern County Cancer Run/Walk and ask them to pledge our cause and help us provide more transportation, financial assistance, education, and support groups for local cancer patients and cancer screenings for Kern County residents. Awards will be given to top fundraisers.

Sponsors will receive marketing benefits in addition to waived participant fees.  Please see the Sponsor tab for more details.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit local cancer screenings, support groups, transportation and financial assistance for Kern County cancer patients and their families through the CBCC Foundation for Community Wellness.  The CBCC Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that has provided critical programs and services to over 25,000 Kern County cancer patients and family members since 2009 regardless of where they are being treated.  All programs and services are privately funded and exist because of generous donors like yourself.

7:50am:  Stretch - Domingo from InShape Zumba
8:00 am:  National Anthem and Invocation
8:10am:   5k Walk Start for Survivors
8:15am:   5k Walk Start for General Entries
8:20am:  5k Timed Run for Survivors/General Entries
8:30 am:  Entertainment begins
9:30 am:  Mascot Run
10:00am:  Children's Jog-a-thon Begins
10:30am:  Awards  (Top Finishers and Top Fundraisers)
11:00am:  Event Ends
